3 vehicles broken into at ex-Charcoal diner lot |
[Note: I don't usually run stuff off the police blotter, but this is a chance to show you the great sign that still remains from this very cool (and now closed) drive in restaurant just outside of Allentown, PA. RJD]
Allentown Morning Call | August 13, 2008
Three vehicles were broken into while they were in the former Charcoal Drive-In parking lot in the 4000 block of Hamilton Boulevard between 9 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
Windows were smashed on all three vehicles, state police at Fogelsville said. Although the Charcoal Drive-In restaurant has been closed about a year, the parking lot is frequently used by customers of nearby Bieber bus tours.
Carlton Shufflerbarger of Springfield, Va., reported the theft of a satellite radio; Tina Velez of Allentown reported the theft of a stereo and a digital music player; and Kathryn Liebler of Hershey, Dauphin County, reported the theft of a car stereo.
