The international diner phenomenon. I stumbled upon a chain of "diners," which apparently began in Lebanon (the country, not the city in Central PA) and have now moved on to the United Arab Emirates. Thought you might find it interesting.... RJD

Silver Grill shines again

One of the depressing parts of running this site and staying on top of the "comings and goings" along the American roadside is the fact that there are, by and large, many more "goings" than anything else. Sometimes it feels like a long, slow death watch. So it is always a great delight to see thing go RIGHT once in while.

The reemergence of the Prospect Mountain and Munson diners (below) being just two recent examples. Now, we stumbled upon another. Reader David Lee Simmons tipped us off to the re-opening of the Silver Grill in Atlanta as reported by veteran freelance columnist, Cliff Bostock
