Managing your photo gallery
To utilize our free photo gallery, you must first become a member of TheAmericanRoadside.com. You can find a link to this at the top of our site ("Join Us") or on the left column below the Member Login area.

Once you're a member, sign in.

You will notice that an additional "User Menu" has appeared along the left side of the site. Click "Manage My Gallery" to get started.

You will be presented with a list of current galleries (of other members). To get started creating your own gallery, click the "USER CONTROL PANEL" link. This will bring up two icons. Click the top one "GALLERY MANAGER". On the next page, you'll see two grey icons. Hover over them and their functions will become clear. Click the one that says "NEW GALLERY." Fill in the appropriate information. You can leave the "directory" alone.

When you click the "Members" tab at the top, you can choose who has access to SEE your gallery. It can include everyone...or just the people you determine.

When you are done here, click the disk icon and SAVE your entries.

Now go back to the MainScreen and click the lower icon, where you can begin uploading photos.

NOTE: If you are a Mac user and have any problems or oddities while utilizing the Safari browser, you might try switching to FIrefox instead. Some of the functions of this software are not all that compliant with Safari. Sorry, 'cause we like it, too!

If you have any problems or questions, please contact us or leave a note on the the Roadside Forum.

ONE OTHER IMPORTANT NOTE: "Sharing" in the context of this software means that other users will be able to change things in your gallery. It does not mean that you are "sharing" it online (as in, "seeing it") For the most part, users should NOT check the SHARING box.
